A player in Gray, Tenn., won a $340,000 Tennessee Cash jackpot Friday night, the 72st time the jackpot has been won for this Tennessee-only drawing-style game. No additional information is available until the prize is claimed.
The Lottery’s countdown to its 200th winning ticket of $1 million or more is getting close: A lucky Goodlettsville couple won $1 million this week playing the instant game, “$1 Million Fever,” which is the 197th ticket sold worth one-million-dollars or more since the Lottery began Jan. 20, 2004.
Rita Qualls of Goodlettsville said she “hadn’t stopped smiling” since she saw the long line of zeroes on her ticket indicating she won one of the top prizes of that game.
Congratulations to Cynthia Bush of Chattanooga who won $100,000 from the September 10 Powerball drawing. Cynthia matched 4 of 5 white balls plus the Powerball and played the Power Play. Since the Power Play number drawn was 2, her $50,000 prize was doubled to $100,000! Cynthia purchased her lucky ticket at Fast Stop in Chattanooga.
The Tennessee Lottery’s countdown to its 200th ticket sold worth $1 million or more reached a “fevered pitch” Wednesday when Nancy and Bob Long of Murfreesboro claimed a $1 million prize from a “$1 Million Fever” instant game ticket. And the Lottery is poised to award another $1 million to a soon-to-be-announced winner of a “Play It Again!” drawing held this week.
The two wins bring the number of tickets sold worth $1 million or more to 196—which could jump up again at any time.
