Position Description:

The primary purpose for this position is to perform the administrative, clerical and customer service duties associated with the processing of TEL retailer applications and contracts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving, reviewing, and processing retailer applications in a timely manner and performing other duties as assigned by the Retailer Contracts Manager

Required Education:

High School diploma (or GED) required.  Associate‚Äôs Degree in Business Administration preferred.

Required Experience:

Three to five years of customer service, contractual monitoring experience; and strong data entry skills required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.


Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidential information. 


Salary Range: Salary Range - $22,000 - $27,000 Based on Experience

  • Receives and reviews new retailer contracting applications and renewal applications 
  • Performs the data entry required to input the required retailer data into the TEL Retailer database.
  • Provides customer service to external and internal customers as required to process retailer applications. 
  • Responds to phone inquiries regarding new and existing retailer applications and contracts. 
  • Coordinates the DOR, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Credit review and approval. 
  • Communicates directly with retailers via phone and written correspondence to resolve all pending application issues.  
  • Verifies receipt of application fees.
  • Prepares, updates and monitors the Retailer Application Tracking log and communicates with the appropriate individuals to resolve pending issues.
  • Ensures all required application processing checkpoints have been completed and recommends applications for review, approval or rejection.  
  • Generates and prints certificates for approved retailers and promotional retailer events.
  • Provides required information to the Retailer Installation Coordinator for retailer training and installation issues.
  • Maintains confidentiality of retailer information.
  • Prepares, maintains and updates files and logs following prescribed methods.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
