NASHVILLE—The second time’s the charm for 17 Tennessee Lottery players, who won a total of more than $5.6 million in cash prizes this week by entering eligible non-winning instant tickets into the Lottery’s “Play It Again!” program. Prizes ranged from $444 up to $5 million.
Several of the winners have claimed their prizes, including Neil Legaspi, a nurse from Mt. Juliet who won $50,000. “This is crazy! I can’t believe this is really happening,” he told Rebecca Hargrove, Tennessee Lottery President and CEO. Rebecca was on hand to greet winners, who she telephones to share the good news.
Andrew Trentham of Pigeon Forge echoed those sentiments after learning he won $20,000 by entering a non-winning “Double Deuces” instant ticket. “This is amazing!”
Elizabeth Cardin of Riceville won $50,000 and looks forward to spending her winnings on home repairs, while Kassie Huntley, a caregiver from Leoma, isn’t yet sure what she will do with her $200,000 prize.
To “Play It Again,” players simply visit https://www.tnvipsuite.com/ and become a VIP Players Suite member (free). Once registered, players can scan non-winning instant tickets with the TN Lottery phone app or enter online. By entering tickets, VIP Members also receive points to enter drawings for cash, vehicles and popular merchandise.
