Charitable Allocation Program Registration
The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (TEL) offers a charitable allocation program that allows defined charitable organizations to register with the Corporation to receive direct contributions from pre-registered Lottery participants.
A defined charitable organization registered and in good standing with the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office must file with the TEL to request a contribution under this program. The contribution can be a specified amount or 5 percent (5%) or more of an electing Lottery participant’s gross winnings (net of statutory withholding(s)) when a prize of $5,000 or greater is won.
A Lottery participant must elect to allocate a portion of their winnings to the eligible organization, and such election is binding until 30 days after providing written notice to the TEL to rescind such election.
To participate in the program, the following information is required to be filed with the TEL by an eligible charitable organization and the Lottery participant.
