The Gann Family celebrates a big win!

When Lebanon’s David Gann woke his wife Shelley at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning, “she was a bit aggravated,” he said. Her feelings immediately changed, however, when he told her he had just won $50,000 from a $2 Jumbo Bucks ticket! David had made an early morning run to Mapco Express, 803 South Cumberland, in Lebanon to fill up his car with gas and play a Tennessee Lottery game. She was so excited that she and several other family members joined him to claim his prize at the Lottery’s Nashville office. Best wishes to David and his family!
The Tennessee Education Lottery operates entirely from the revenue it generates through the sale of its products. Net proceeds from sales of Lottery tickets, currently averaging over $5 million per week, fund specific education programs, including college scholarships, pre-kindergarten and after-school programs. Since the Tennessee Lottery began selling tickets on Jan. 20, 2004, it has raised more than $1.6 billion for these programs, and returned nearly $3.6 billion in prizes and nearly $393 million in retailer commissions.
