A POWERBALL ticket sold in Murfreesboro is now worth $1 million and marks the Tennessee Lottery's 58th win of $1 million or more! The ticket matched all five white balls selected in Wednesday night's drawing and used the Power Play option, which is why the $200,000 was transformed into a $1 million win. In addition to that exciting news, the drawing for the popular POWERBALL game produced more than 21,000 additional winning tickets in Tennessee. No additional information about the Murfressboro win is available until the prize is claimed.

About the Tennessee Education Lottery

Net proceeds from sales of Lottery tickets, currently averaging over $5 million per week, fund specific education programs, including college scholarships, pre-kindergarten and after-school programs. Since the Tennessee Lottery began selling tickets on Jan. 20, 2004, it has raised more than $1.7 billion for these programs, and returned to Tennessee communities more than $3.7 billion in prizes and more than $412 million in retailer commissions.
