Today's big news from the Tennessee Lottery spotlights its new mega jackpot game, MEGA MILLIONS. Not only did Tuesday night's drawing create a $750,000 winning ticket sold in Harrogate (Claiborne County), but it also produced a jackpot of $133 MILLION for Friday night!
When a MEGA MILLIONS ticket matches the numbers on all five white balls drawn, the prize is $250,000. If a player adds the MEGAPLIER option to the play, however, the prize is multiplied by the multiplier chosen before the drawing. Since Tuesday night's MEGAPLIER was three, the $250,000 prize was tripled. No additional information about the winner is available until the prize is claimed.
