Laura (L) and her sister Doris (far R) enjoyed a visit with CEO Rebecca Hargrove (C) when they claimed the million-dollar prize.

Laura Pittman of Marion County was all smiles and a bit shaky when she arrived today at the Tennessee Lottery’s Nashville headquarters—which isn’t surprising since she came to claim a $1 MILLION prize!

“I thought I was seeing things,” said Laura when describing what happened as she scratched a Millionaire Jumbo Bucks instant ticket on Halloween night. “I sat in the car for at least 15 minutes just staring at the ticket!”

Laura, who purchased the ticket at Raceway Convenience and Video, Hwy. 28, in Whitwell, came with her sister Doris to claim the prize. Coincidentally, Doris taught grandchildren of the Hubbard family in South Pittsburg, Tenn. The Hubbards won a Powerball jackpot of $25.5 million in Tennessee in March 2005. “I guess we’re a lucky area!” said the sisters.

Congratulations, and good luck to Laura!
