Belinda and family celebrate the $5 Million win with Rebecca Hargrove!

A Henderson County resident holds the new Tennessee Lottery record for the largest top prize won on an instant “scratch-off” game with her $5 million win from $5,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular. Belinda Garner of Heron, Tenn., claimed the hefty top prize yesterday at the Lottery’s Nashville headquarters accompanied by her brother, Clothel, and son, Darrell.

She told Lottery officials that after playing the game and realizing what she had won, she had to “run out and sit down for at least 10 minutes!”

Belinda, who purchased the lucky ticket at Major Market, 902 S. Broad St. in Lexington, says she will save most of the money after paying bills. She also shared that she had visited an attorney and CPA before claiming her winnings.

5,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular and an extensive variety of other instant-ticket games are available at Lottery retailers throughout the state. Lottery players have won more than $6.5 BILLION in prizes since the Lottery began nearly 10 years ago.

Congratulations, and good luck to Belinda and her family!
