NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Lottery announced a statewide network of broadcast partners that will play a key role in the launch of Cash 3 on March 1 and the televised POWERBALL drawings in late spring. The participating stations are:

• Memphis: WMC – NBC Channel 5
• Jackson: WBBJ – ABC Channel 7
• Chattanooga: WTVC – ABC Channel 9
• Knoxville: WBIR – NBC Channel 10
• Nashville: WKRN – ABC Channel 2
Tri-cities area: WKPT - ABC Channel 19

“I’m pleased with our new partnerships and with the enthusiasm we’ve received from these terrific television stations,” said Rebecca Paul, CEO and president of the Tennessee Lottery. “With this milestone in place, the smooth launch of Cash 3 is that much closer.”

The daily drawings for Cash 3 will be held every night beginning March 1. The time has not yet been finalized. Once the Lottery begins POWERBALL in late spring, those drawings will be held every Wednesday and Saturday night. Cash 3 is the Lottery’s first computerized game in which players choose three numbers to match the three numbers drawn daily by the Lottery.

“Players throughout the state will be pleased with the overall, immediate availability to know if they’ve won that day,” said Paul. “We’ll be entering a new phase of our games, and it’s sure to create fun for players and retailers, which translates into more dollars from the education programs we fund.”

All Tennessee Lottery profits will go to education programs. Most immediately, the Lottery is charged with raising at least $88 million by July 1 in order to fund scholarships for an estimated 65,000 students expected to attend Tennessee colleges and universities next fall.
