NASHVILLE - There’s a new Tennessee Lottery millionaire! A lucky player who purchased a Powerball ticket in Newport has won a cool $1 million after Wednesday night’s drawing, making him or her the 168th member of a “club” of winners who have won $1 million or more since the Lottery began in 2004.
No additional information is known until the prize is claimed.
In addition to the Powerball multi-million-dollar jackpot, there are eight other ways to win in this popular multi-state game. This $1 million prize was won by matching all five white ball numbers drawn. If the player had used the “Power Play” option for an extra $1, the prize would have been doubled to $2 million.
See tnlottery.com for details about other Powerball prize levels.
