A lucky Powerball player is holding a ticket purchased in Nashville now worth a cool $1 million after last night’s drawing. This makes the 18th win of $1 million or more this year, and the 171st such win since the Lottery began selling tickets January 20, 2004.

No additional information is known until the prize is claimed.

In addition to the Powerball multi-million-dollar jackpot, there are eight other ways to win in this popular multi-state game. This $1 million prize was won by matching all five white ball numbers drawn. If the player had used the “Power Play” option for an extra $1, the prize would have been doubled to $2 million.

See for details about other Powerball prize levels.
