NASHVILLE - There's a lucky Tennessee Lottery player in Kingsport who won the $838,156 Tennessee Cash jackpot after Friday night's drawing. No additional information is known about the winner until the prize is claimed. In other weekend drawing news, the Mega Millions jackpot of $106 million was won by a player in New York, and the Powerball jackpot has grown to $185 million for Wednesday night's drawing.
The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation operates entirely from the revenue it generates through the sale of its products. Since January 20, 2004, the Lottery has raised more than $3.4 billion for specific education programs, including more than 900,000 college scholarships and grants, a variety of after-school activities, and the new Tennessee Promise initiative.
