Thirteen can no longer be considered unlucky—at least for 13 employees of Nashville-based Hardaway Construction, who will divide a $600,000 Powerball prize won after Saturday night’s drawing. “We always play the Power Play,” said Harold Sterry, the group’s leader and “lucky charm,” according to the other members. Sterry purchased the winning ticket at Stop N Buy on Sanders Ferry Road in Hendersonville. After nearly a year of paying $4 per person each week to play the twice-weekly drawings, the group won its biggest prize ever—but still predicts a Powerball jackpot win is in the near future.
