NASHVILLE – It’s time to put your cards on the table with the Tennessee Lottery’s newest instant game “Winning Hand.” This new instant game combines the excitement of a card game with the fun of an instant ticket, and offers Tennessee Lottery players another entertaining way to win. Retailers across the state will add the new game to their inventory this week.
Details about the latest instant ticket game include:
Winning Hand, a green and red $2 ticket, is a game in which players can instantly win up to $20,000. If the total of any of your hands beats the dealer’s total, you win the prize shown for that hand. If the total of any of your hands equals 21, you win double the prize shown for that hand. Players have the opportunity to win up to 10 times on each ticket. Overall odds are 1 in 4.
The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on Jan. 20, 2004. At the end of its first fiscal year, after just five months and 12 days of ticket sales, the Lottery had transferred more than $123 million to the Tennessee Lottery for Education account, as well as more than $2 million for after-school programs. All Tennessee Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in the state, which initially include HOPE Scholarships.
