LOTTO 5 AND POWERBALL JACKPOTS CONTINUE TO GROW; Saturday’s Powerball Drawing Yields Two $100,000 Powerball Tickets Sold in the State

NASHVILLE - Tennessee’s Lotto 5 game on Friday, Sept. 17 produced 1,845 winners. Since there was no jackpot winner, $188,491 will rollover to the next Lotto 5 drawing on Monday, Sept. 20.

Tennessee’s Powerball game on Saturday, Sept. 18 produced 38,275 winners who purchased tickets from retailers in the state including two $100,000 tickets sold in Murfreesboro and Denmark. By selecting the Power Play option, 6,947 players multiplied their winnings by four. Please visit and click on “winning numbers” for complete details about both drawings.

The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday, Sept. 22 is estimated at $95 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. CST (10:59 p.m. EST). The Lotto 5 jackpot for the next drawing on Monday, Sept. 20 will contain the rollover amount of $188,491 and will continue to grow with ticket sales. Lotto 5 Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and can be seen at 10:34 p.m. CST on the Lottery’s television network partners throughout the state.

The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on Jan. 20, 2004. At the end of its first fiscal year, after just five months and 12 days of ticket sales, the Lottery had raised more than $123 million for education. All Tennessee Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in the state, which initially include the HOPE Scholarship program.
