NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Lottery’s newest game, Lotto 5, produced 3,000 winners for Friday night’s drawing, including one jackpot winner of $670,823 who purchased the ticket in Morristown.
Tennessee’s Powerball game on Saturday night produced 64,059 winners who purchased tickets from retailers in the state, including two $100,000 tickets purchased in Troy and Memphis. By selecting the Power Play option, 10,291 players multiplied their winnings by four. There was no jackpot winner for Saturday night’s drawing, so the next jackpot on Wednesday, Oct. 6 is estimated at $177 Million.

The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on Jan. 20, 2004. At the end of its first fiscal year, after just five months and 12 days of ticket sales, the Lottery had raised more than $123 million for education. All Tennessee Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in the state, which initially include the HOPE Scholarship program.
