POWERBALL AND LOTTO 5 DRAWINGS PRODUCE OVER 27,000 TN WINNERS;Both Jackpots Continue To Grow

NASHVILLE - Wednesday’s Lotto 5 drawing produced 1,564 winners throughout the state. Since there was no jackpot winner, $52,022 will rollover to Friday’s drawing.



Tennessee’s Powerball game on Wednesday produced 26,342 winners who purchased tickets from retailers in the state. By selecting the Power Play option, 5,177 players multiplied their winnings by five.

The Lotto 5 jackpot for the next drawing on Friday, Oct. 29 will contain the rollover amount of $52,022 and will continue to grow with ticket sales. Lotto 5 Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 10:34 p.m. CST and can be seen on the Lottery’s television network partners throughout the state.


The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday, Oct. 30 is estimated at $28 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. CST (10:59 p.m. EST). The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on Jan. 20, 2004. As of Oct. 15, the Lottery had transferred more than $174 million to the Tennessee Lottery for Education account, as well as more than $2 million for after-school programs. All Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in Tennessee, which initially include HOPE Scholarships.
