POWERBALL AND LOTTO 5 JACKPOTS CONTINUE TO GROW; Both Games Combined Produced Over 28,000 TN Winners

Tennessee’s Lotto 5 drawing on Wednesday did not produce a jackpot winner, so $101,744 will rollover to Friday’s drawing. There were 1,328 winners throughout the state, 45 of which won $198 each and 1,283 who each won $11.

Tennessee’s Powerball game on Wednesday produced 27,105 winners who purchased tickets from retailers in the state. By selecting the Power Play option, 5,099 players multiplied their winnings by four.

The Lotto 5 jackpot for the next drawing on Friday, Nov. 5 will contain the rollover amount of $101,744 and will continue to grow with ticket sales. Lotto 5 Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 10:34 p.m. CST and can be seen on the Lottery’s television network partners throughout the state.

The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday, Nov. 6 is estimated at $44 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. CST (10:59 p.m. EST). The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on Jan. 20, 2004. As of Oct. 15, the Lottery had transferred more than $174 million to the Tennessee Lottery for Education account, as well as more than $2 million for after-school programs. All Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in Tennessee, which initially include HOPE Scholarships.
