LOTTO 5 JACKPOT GROWS TO $150,000 FOR FRIDAY’S DRAWING; Powerball Ticket Worth $18 Million Sold in Idaho

NASHVILLE - Tennessee’s Powerball game on Wednesday produced 23,432 winners who purchased tickets from retailers in the state. By selecting the Power Play option, 5,019 players multiplied their winnings by four. There was one winner in the state of Idaho for the $18 million grand prize.

Tennessee’s Lotto 5 game on Wednesday produced 1,515 winners including 32 players who won $274 each and 1,483 players who won $9 each.

The Lotto 5 jackpot for the next drawing on Friday, Feb. 25 is estimated at $150,000. Lotto 5 Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 10:34 p.m. CST and can be seen on the Lottery’s television network partners throughout the state.

The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday, Feb. 26 is estimated at $10 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. CST (10:59 p.m. EST). The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on January 20, 2004. Proceeds as of December 31, 2004 have resulted in transfers to the Lottery for Education Account of $231.2 million, in addition to more than $2 million for after-school programs. All Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in Tennessee, which initially include HOPE Scholarships.
