Sport Boat Winner Might Learn New Tricks!
Tuesday, February 13, 2018
The Harshaws are ready to set sail!

A lesson in water sports could be in the near future for Kurtis Harshaw of Cunningham, who won a Stingray 225CR Boat from a Tennessee Education Lottery “VIP Rewards Drawing.” The boat, delivered over the weekend, will be a sporty second for Kurtis, whose family has a relaxed-pace pontoon boat they enjoy riding on the Cumberland River.

“We’re planning a big Fourth of July party with both boats floating down to Nashville,” said Kurtis, a U.S. Army veteran. And, according to his wife Shelby, the boats will be named for each of them—the pontoon for Kurtis and the new Stingray for Shelby.

Kurtis won the prize package, which includes a trailer and is valued at $73,994, by entering eligible tickets into the Lottery’s online “VIP Players Suite.” Once a ticket is entered, VIP Suite members earn VIP Rewards Points they can use to enter drawings for incredible merchandise or travel/experience packages. One of the next big prizes to be awarded (in April) will be a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4.

“Offering a huge variety of prizes is just another way we can attract players, who in turn help support the programs funded by Tennessee Lottery dollars,” said Rebecca Hargrove, President and CEO. “Having fun while raising funds for education is a win-win for everyone, and we wish the Harshaws the very best.”
