Longtime friends Doug Petty, Randall Ray and Steve Thillen have had a pact ever since they started playing Powerball: “We promised we would never joke if we won big!” So, when Steve called the others there was no doubting his news that they had won $200,000 by matching five white ball numbers in the May 6, 2009 Powerball drawing. The Memphis friends are heading off with cigars and clubs for a golf trip, then will likely save, invest and “play more golf.” The winning ticket was purchased at Kroger Fuel Center on Germantown Road in Cordova. Good luck to the Memphians!
