MEMPHIS PLAYER WINS $800,000 POWERBALL PRIZE; MURFREESBORO PLAYER WINS $330,716 LOTTO 5 JACKPOT!
Last night’s Powerball drawing produced an $800,000 win for a player who purchased their ticket in Memphis and selected the Power Play. LOTTERY GENERATES NEARLY $360 MILLION FOR EDUCATION; First Full Fiscal Year A Win for Tennessee
The Tennessee Education Lottery announced today it has raised nearly $360 million for education since it began selling tickets just over 17 months ago. The message came as the Lottery officially closed its books for its first full fiscal year, which ended June 30. The latest quarterly transfer of $59,088,000 to the Lottery for Education Account brings the total of funds transferred to that account from Jan. 20, 2004 to June 30, 2005 to $350,694,000.
